Culture field note
How to Get Your Company Culture to Stick
A company’s culture influences talent, innovation, efficiency and the way customers experience the organization. Yet values written on a wall do not automatically become habits in the work.
Translate values into observable behavior
Leaders can make culture more practical by naming the behavior that demonstrates each value. Managers then have something concrete to recognize, coach and revisit during everyday work.
Consistency matters. Hiring, onboarding, feedback and advancement should reinforce the same expectations, or the stated culture will lose credibility.
Culture becomes visible in repeated decisions, not in a list of abstract words.
